Itchy scalp between baking soda washes?

#1

Hi,
I’m a month into No Poo and am down to washing with baking soda once every 5 or 6 days. But I noticed by the time I get to day 5 and my hair gets a little greasy my scalp really starts to itch. Is this normal? Should I use baking soda more or less? Right now I use 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a cup of water on my scalp and 1 tablespoon of ACV in 1 cup of water on the ends. For the first handful of days my scalp is fine and looks fantastic but as it starts to get greasy, I start to itch badly. I use only water in between washes.

I’ve never used baking soda because I read it’s likely to dry and break your hair.

It works for a lot of people but maybe just not for you. Maybe try an alternative?
